🔧 How to Connect Taboola Ads Pixel (Step-by-Step Guide)

Learn how to integrate your Taboola Ads Pixel with wetracked.io to accurately track your campaign performance across your store.

This guide provides a complete step-by-step setup for Shopify, WooCommerce, and Funnelish users.

Before You Begin

Make sure you:

• Are logged in to your Taboola Ads (Realize) Manager before starting
• Have access to your wetracked.io dashboard
• Know which events you want to track (e.g., Purchase, Add to Cart)

This will ensure that you can access and create the necessary conversion actions right away.

Step 1: Open your Realize dashboard

1. Go to Account Tracking Setup.

2. Select Server to Server (in some places, Taboola calls this "S2S")

3. Select a campaign & click the next button (skip testing, it won’t work yet).

• Scroll down then hit "Create Conversion". You’ll now configure your first event.

Conversion Setup Guidelines

Follow the exact structure below to ensure compatibility with wetracked.io:

A. Conversion Name

• It is recommended to Include the event name
• Example: ViewItem, AddToCart, Purchase

B. Conversion Type

• Always Select: Event

C. Conversion Properties

• Use the mapping table below:

Note: Screenshot below was for creating the View Content

1. Conversion Name should be: ViewItem
2. Conversion Type should be: Event

3. Under  Conversion Properties

• Category must be selected as View Content since we're doing View Contentas our first Event.
• For Event Name simply match it with your Conversion Name. Since the Conversion name of this event is ViewItem then the Event name should be ViewItem as well

4. Additional Settings: Event Code

• Dynamic Parameters: all must be enabled or selected (wetracked.io will only send applicable data)
• Code Snippet: Ignore (as this will be handled by wetracked.io)
• Click Create once done.

5. Now that you have finished creating your first event (View content).

• Simply repeat the same process for all remaining events such as Add to Cart, Start Checkout, Make Purchase and Other for (Pageview)
• Use the Mapping table above to determine your correct Event name.
• Click "Account Tracking Set up" →  Select Server to Server → Continue

Please proceed in creating the remaining conversion events. Add to Cart, Start Checkout, Make Purchase and Other for (Pageview)

Step 2: Open Your Store in wetracked.io

1. Go to our app dashboard.
2. Choose your store platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, or Funnelish).
3. Open the store you want to connect your Taboola Ads Pixel to.

Step 3: Enable and Add Your Taboola Pixel

• Scroll down to the Taboola Pixel section, toggle it ON, and click “Add Pixel.”
• You’ll then need to enter your "xxxx info"
• Ensure to save it once you have pasted the needed details
