Over-tracking issue on Funnelish?

Over-tracking issue on Funnelish?

If you encounter any over-tracking issues with Funnelish, it’s important to review and adjust your setup to avoid duplicated or inaccurate order tracking. Please check and follow the instructions below carefully:

  1. Disable Other Tracking Apps on Funnelish:

Ensure that any third-party tracking apps connected to your Funnelish account are disabled to prevent overlapping events.

For example, if you are using Facebook/Meta Pixel, make sure the Facebook app is turned off within Funnelish. Having both active can lead to duplicate tracking signals and affect your reporting accuracy.

  1. Verify Checkout Settings Between Shopify and Funnelish:

If your Shopify store is connected with Funnelish and both share the same domain through our tracking system, it’s essential to configure the checkout type correctly.

    • Go to our tracking app.
    • Select your store name from the list.
    • Find the option labeled “Type of Checkout.”
    • Make sure it is set to “Native Checkout.”

If it’s set to “External Checkout,” it can create duplicated events or over-tracking because both Shopify and Funnelish may be reporting the same order separately.

By reviewing both these areas, you can minimize the chances of inaccurate tracking data and maintain clean, reliable reporting for your orders.

  1. Lastly, ensure that you are using the correct Pixels per Funnel ID that you would link via our app. By default, Pixel ID that you are using for campaign should be the same Pixel ID you linked on our app.

Note: Once you’ve completed the steps outlined above, we recommend reaching out to our Chat Support team for further assistance. This will allow us to review your setup in more detail and help resolve any remaining tracking concerns more effectively.
