How to Integrate wetracked.io with Google Ads Manager: A Step-by-Step Guide
Introduction
To maximize ad performance with your Google Ads setup you need to integrate it with the online wetracked.io app.
Go ahead and open up the My Stores tab within app.wetracked.io, in here you should see any existing stores that have been added already or you may go ahead and proceed to add a new store for integration. The demo video in the bottom left-hand corner will show you the steps needed to add your first store successfully.
Once you have opened up your store, kindly scroll down then make sure you toggled on the Google icon then select "Add Pixel"
When you have selected the Google icon from the menu in the + add a new pixel tab, you will see that it asks for the conversion ID and for you to manually add which conversions you would like tracked. At this stage, we will head over to your Google Ads Manager to set up these conversions and details and bring them back into the wetracked.io app.
Now that you’re in the Google Ads Manager, you need to select the Tools and Settings tab from the top bar menu, under the measurement list you need to click on Conversions.
If you are using the updated Google Ads Manager, you will need to** go to Goals and Conversions** on the left sidebar menu.
Once on the summary page, you need to go to settings on the left-hand side and activate the below two settings;
Enhanced conversions for leads - Toggle on - select Google Tag from the dropdown menu.
Enhanced conversions - Toggle on - select Google Tag from the dropdown menu.
Be sure to save these settings.
Once these settings have been changed and saved, you can head back to the summary tab on the left, and in the middle of the screen you will see the option for New conversion action, click on this and select website conversions, and enter your website domain, then scan.
When scanned you will see the bottom option is to add a conversion action manually, here is where we will create the following conversions;
Purchase - conversion name (purchase -wetracked.io) - Different value for each
Add to cart - conversion name (Add to cart -wetracked.io) - Different value for each
Begin Checkout Conversion name (Begin checkout -wetracked.io) - Different value for each
Page View - conversion name (Page view -wetracked.io) - Don’t use a value for conversion
Once these four conversions have been created, you can go ahead and click on save and continue, the next page will show you the details that need to be copied and pasted back into the wetracked.io app.
Select use Google Tag Manager at the top of the screen, and you will now see the following listed:
Conversion ID: example ID
Conversion labels:
Purchase (wetracked.io)
Example label
Add to cart (wetracked.io)
Example label
Begin checkout (wetracked.io)
Example label
Page View (wetracked.io)
Example label
Once you can see all the details from section 5, you can go back into the app where you should still be on the + add a new pixel pop-up in the Google icon.
You can now copy and paste your conversion ID first.
Click on** + add conversion**, once you click this 4 times you will see that it will show your 4 key conversions have been added with blank label fields.
You now need to copy and paste the labels for each conversion into the relevant fields on our app.
Be sure to match the correct labels with the correct conversions on the wetracked.io app.
Once completed you may click on Add pixel and you will now see the Google pixel has been added to your store and a green icon will illuminate showing you that the connection is now active.
If you are using Dynamic Remarketing, please add the following custom pixel on Shopify👇. You can find the custom pixels section in the Shopify admin by navigating to Settings ⇢ Customer events.
Make sure to replace REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_SHOPIFY_DOMAIN with your actual Shopify domain, like example.myshopify.com.
