Funnelish (Upsell counted as separate order)


Overview


If you don’t want to track upsell purchases as separate orders in Funnelish, this guide will help you adjust your setup easily.

Doing so ensures that only your main or initial order is recorded, preventing upsells from being counted as extra transactions/orders.


Before You Begin


Please make sure you have followed all the instructions in our Funnelish guideline before making these changes and pause on Step 9.

Steps to Exclude Upsell Tracking


On the Step 9 of our Funnelish Guidelines, make sure to Trigger it only at "Checkout" — not on "All steps". (see attached screenshot below)

By following this, your Funnelish setup will focus only on tracking actual checkout orders, excluding upsell activities from your reports.


Note: If you track all orders (including upsells), ad platforms will count upsells as extra orders — which can skew your CPA (Cost per Acquisition).

However, your ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) will remain accurate, which is more important for performance tracking.
