# How to get started wetracked.io for Shopify stores


# **Overview / Introduction**
This guide provides a detailed walkthrough on how to install and integrate [**wetracked.io**](https://wetracked.io) with your **Shopify store**. Whether you’re a new user or an existing subscriber, this article covers all the essential steps to successfully complete your integration.

### **Prerequisites / Before You Start**
Before proceeding with the installation, please ensure the following:
* ✅ You are **logged in** to the **Shopify account** you want to connect.
* ✅ You have your A**d pixel details** ready for configuration.

## **Step-by-Step Installation Guide**

### **Step 1: Access the [app.wetracked.io](https://app.wetracked.io/)** Dashboard
* Go to [app.wetracked.io](https://app.wetracked.io/) and select **Shopify > Add New Store**.

### **Step 2: Select Checkout Type and Timezone**

### Step 3: Add Your Pixel Details 
* Toggle on your preferred **Ad Platform** (e.g., Facebook, TikTok, Google Ads, etc.), then select **Add Pixel** and fill out the required details. Once your pixel is successfully added, click **Complete**.

### **Step 4: Subscription Confirmation**
* If this is your **first time** using [wetracked.io](https://wetracked.io), you may be prompted to **subscribe**.
* Existing subscribers will **not** see this step and may proceed directly to Step 5.

### **Step 5: Access Your Pre-Store and Start Installation**
* Once pixel details have been added, a **pre-store** will be created. Open it to begin your [wetracked.io](https://wetracked.io) app installation. 
* it may appear as store name with random numbers, this is because nothing is linked yet. Once you successfully configured our app then your Shopify store will appear

* Toggle the button to reveal the **Install** option.

### **Step 6: Connect to Shopify**
* Click **Install**. Ensure that you are logged in to the **Shopify store** you wish to connect, as the process will automatically route you to your logged-in account.

* You will be redirected to Shopify’s **App Sales and Channel** installation page. Confirm the installation by clicking **Install** buttons

### **Step 7: Configure the API Key**
* Once the app installation has been initiated, you will be prompted to **fill out specific details** in Shopify.

*  Go back to your **wetracked.io dashboard**, generate the API key and copy it -- then paste the **API key** into your Shopify app.

* Once you have pasted the API KEY on your Shopify -- kindly ensure you will SAVE it otherwise you won't be able to move forward

### **Step 8: Verify the Connection**
* After saving your API key, return to your **wetracked.io** app and select **Verify Connection**.

### **Step 9: Store Review and Activation**

* Your store will now appear under **Review Status** on our app. Please allow some time for our team to review and activate your store.
* Rest assured, our team ensures all new store connections are handled promptly.
* You will receive an **email notification** for next steps and you will then again receive an email once the store activation is completed
